Margaret Olley
Straight from the Philip Bacon Collection, and in conjunction with the Tweed Regional Gallery, our newest print edition is from one of Australia’s greatest treasures, Margaret Olley.
Originally painted in 1967, Olley’s Pomegranates in a Basket is a fine example of the lush still life paintings she was famous for. Masterful at depicting the warmth and integrity that surrounded her, Olley found her home and collected belongings inexhaustible sources of inspiration.
A percentage of sale proceeds for Pomegranates in a Basket is donated to the margaret hannah olley trust. Established by Olley in 1990, the trust is devoted to purchasing works of art for public collections around Australia.
